A senior directed one act play at the end of the year. This was a fun show because as Tj you can portray a wide range of extreme emotions. TJ lets you make your audience laugh hysterically, sob, and want to comfort Tj, one after another.
As TJ you say over half the words in the play. Every time you speak you set the action for the play. TJ is very angry. But it's not that he is an angry person, but he is hurt and confused. His mom leaves for no apparent reason, and no one will talk to him. He feels isolated from the world. Even when he sees his mom, she refuses to tell him why she left. At the end, in his final monologue, TJ has come to see that no one can help him but himself. He has to find his own peace about his life.
