CAST AS: Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing

  • About this performance:

This was a fun production. The cast was great, and the director was very good to work with (and I'm not just saying that because she cast me as Benedick, or because she's my sister-in-law). We had a wonderful set designed by one of the best local set designers. All in all, a great experience.

  • Bloopers:

I managed to rip my pants on stage at one point. I was wearing knee breeches, and they got caught on the corner of a set of stairs while I was "overhearing" how much Beatrice loved me. Not only did I rip the pants, but I went sprawling on the floor and had to crawl to my next hiding place. Fortunately, nobody in the audience noticed anything amiss.
  • Advice for others:

As with all Shakespeare, trust the script. Make sure you know what the Bard is saying. He gives you everything you need, but sometimes it's tricky to handle the language.
