This was the inaugural production for Pinnacle Acting Company. Everybody put in a lot of overtime work with this production, making sure we had costumes, a set, and all that. Pinnacle places a lot of emphasis on actor training, which I appreciated. Even though we had small audiences, I felt this was a valuable experience for me.
Stoppard's language has a very distinct rhythm to it. If you get out of that rhythm, the dialogue gets clunky, and you lose the audience. I'm not sure that this show is right for just any theater company. It is very challenging for both actors and audience.
