We performed this show in an amphitheater at the city park. We also had masks made out of foam rubber, to pay homage to the ancient Greek theater. The masks didn't quite turn out the way the director wanted, but such is life. A bigger problem was the fact that the park is right next to a major freeway, and we didn't have microphones. It was a challenge to make ourselves heard over the sound of the traffic. Some of my fellow cast members didn't have as much experience with projecting their voices without amplification.
It was also a big challenge to make the two characters I played distinct. In that, the masks actually helped (I had a different mask for each character).
Be prepared to learn long speeches. That's how the ancient Greek dramas were structured. Also, depending on which translation you use, the language can be a little intimidating. Our translation was very accessible (I can't remember the name of the translator off the top of my head), but even so, the long passages were tricky for all of us.
