This show was another one of the best performances I've done. The cast and the chemistry the cast had was probably the best I've ever done. The show was so invested in by all the actors. It was a huge success, and served its purpose very well. It was a very emotional show to do, and was extremely powerful. I'm very proud of the work that was put into it, by myself, and by everyone else.
When we were performing "Cool", I was having an "off" night, and all in one performance of the song, slipped and almost fell, destroyed one part of the choreography (brain fart), and ran into a chair that someone left off its spike mark. That night I'd like to forget about. People told me they didn't notice, but I sure as hell did.
Advice for others:
Snowboy as well as all the other Jets are VERY much as part of the show as Riff and Tony are. Snowboy specifically is a character that I played lot with, and came up with a back story. Maybe someone can use this if they like what I Thought of. He is a teen who has no father figure in his life, which is why he joined the Jets, to find that male comradery he'd been missing his whole life. Since his name is Snowboy, I figured that he had a cocaine problem, which I twined into the physicality I gave him. He's very tense, and is a funny guy. The Jet he's closest to is Arab because of Arab's humor, which is very mean, especially to Anybodys. His life is all about defense mechanisms.
